Carolyn Odabe, P.T., D.P.T.

Carolyn is a Southern California native. She became interested in the field of Physical Therapy after witnessing one of her best friends recover from a torn ACL. She loved the idea of helping others and being able to provide care to those in need, while also being able to tangibly see their work pay off as the patient progressed each week in strength and mobility. In 2012 she graduated with a BS in Biology from UC, Riverside and in 2018 she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. She developed an interest in orthopedics after completing the advanced orthopedic course at the end of the didactic curriculum. Carolyn loves working in the outpatient ortho setting as well working in PEDS. She is also committed to the enrichment and advancement of students in the clinical realm as she is the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education for Transit Physical Therapy. Carolyn plays an integral role in mentoring or finding clinical placement for students with contracted schools including Loma Linda University, USC, and Cal Baptist University.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoys cooking, traveling, working out, snowboarding, and her newest hobby, roller skating.

Justin has always been interested in the field of sports medicine and has studied at CSUSB for Kinesiology and LLU for the Physical Therapist Assistant program. He chose to go into the field of Physical Therapy because he feels it best fits his personality. He has grown up playing many sports and being very active in serving the community. He is a part time assistant by day and part time athlete by night.

My interest in the field of physical therapy began after sustaining a grade 2 inversion sprain while playing soccer. Experiencing the progress and helpfulness of physical therapy first hand, started a fire and motivation to pursue a career in the profession. When I am not in the clinic I enjoy playing soccer, watching movies and hiking.

Jeandra is originally from southern California and has always loved it here. She decided to pursue a career in physical therapy because she loved the idea of working closely together with patients to achieve their goals and to enable them to take care of themselves independently. She graduated from Loma Linda University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is happy and grateful that she chose this profession. In her free time, Jeandra enjoys hiking, taking naps, reading, spending time with friends, and learning how to skateboard.

Dr. Chelsea Toole is both a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Hand Specialist. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with her undergraduate degree and received her doctorate degree from the University of Southern California. In her spare time Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys camping, hiking and going on road trips. She enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.

Paula Patterson, P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S.

Dr. Paula graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. She has further advanced her professional career over the years with continued education courses geared towards orthopedic and sport-related conditions as well as studying the movement sciences that focus on improving and restoring the normal movement patterns that will enable individuals to return to their daily activities. She has shared her knowledge and expertise by becoming a Clinical instructor through the APTA and participating in student internship programs to mentor and teach students in the field. Dr. Paula obtained her certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2015. Dr. Paula is committed to providing therapy services that embrace the whole person and will advance the quality of life for her patients. When she is not working, Dr. Paula enjoys walking her dogs, hiking, skiing and spending time with family. Areas of Specialty include Orthopedics, Movement Science and Pelvic Rehabilitation

Jenny Ramirez, PTA completed her undergraduate at California State University of San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2019. Jenny then received her Physical Therapist Assistant, A.S. degree in 2022 from California Baptist University. She completed multiple clinical rotations including inpatient and outpatient, providing her with great knowledge and experience.

Prior to receiving her PTA degree, Jenny was a physical therapy aide with Transit Physical Therapy for ~4 years. She finds joy in assisting her patients with any help they may need – in English and/or Spanish. Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has traveled to Mexico and Costa Rica, and has plans to explore more of the world in her future! She would also like to become a traveling PTA in the near future to travel AND help people nationwide!

Charles is from Riverside and grew up playing sports. He was attracted to the field of Physical Therapy because of his love for exercise and his desire to help others. In 2016 he graduated with an associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Concorde Career College. In his free time he is very involved in his local church and serves in their kids ministry.

Samuel Yun-Chan Park, born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Seoul, South Korea, is fluent in both Korean and English. He graduated with a B.S. in Health Science at Southern Adventist University and received his A.S. in Physical Therapy Assistant at Loma Linda University. In short, his story is the American story, a middle-class upbringing, strong Christian family, hard work and education as the means of getting ahead, and the belief that a life so blessed should be lived in service to others.
